We’ve had a pricing update for the Combat Patrol Boxes so which of these new ones is the best deal? Let’s take a look!

Back in January when Games Workshop announced that 5 new Combat Patrols were coming soon we did pricing breakdowns on them. However, that was before we got our new pricing increases this month. So we’re taking another look at the Grey Knight and Thousand Sons Combat Patrols to see what sort of discount you’re getting now with the new pricing.

Grey Knight Combat Patrol

1x Librarian in Terminator Armour $35

5x Grey Knight Terminators $55

5x Grey Knight Strike Squad** $32.50

1x Nemesis Dreadknight $65

Total Individual MSRP = $187.50

**This is a 1/2 squad so we’re only counting it as 1/2 the total of a full squad which would be $65.

Thousand Sons Combat Patrol

1x Thousand Sons Sorcerer*** $38

5x Scarab Occult Terminators $60

20x Tzaangors $100

4x Tzaangor Upgrade Packs $60

Total Individual MSRP = $258

***This model isn’t entirely new but we’re basing the price off of the new typical character prices from GW.

New Combat Patrol Price Points

The Combat Patrol pricing has also increased to $150 as the standard price now. Based on that it’s a safe assumption that the new Combat Patrols will follow the same pattern. With that in mind the Grey Knight Combat Patrol clocks in at a savings of $37.50. The Thousand Sons has a savings of $108. That’s quite a big jump comparatively.

We also know that the units in the box are supposed to be around 25 combat power level. That explains some of the choices in the box. However, when you break it down to cold hard cash, the Thousand Sons box is clearly a better value at $150. But that’s really only if you want all those Tzaangors…

What do you think of the new pricing for these two Combat Patrols?
