If you’re looking to start a new Tyranid army then the new Combat Patrol box has got all the Biomass you need to get going!

Games Workshop has revealed the new Tyranid Combat Patrol Box and it’s loaded with the seed of a Tyranid invasion. Let’s take a quick look at what’s coming direct from the Hive Mind!

“Fortunately, the Norn-Queens have been hard at work splicing together a new Combat Patrol box, which is ideal whether you’re brand new to the Tyranids or have been on board since Hive Fleet Behemoth was first sighted.”

New Tyranid Combat Patrol

The Combat Patrol is loaded with Tyranid models. 43 to be exact! And it’s mostly Core options, too. Mostly. To lead this new batch of baddies is the Hive Tyrant — who also happens to be on the new Tyranid Codex cover.

Naturally, that’s the full Hive Tyrant kit. Which means you can opt for the version you see on the box or you can go with something else. There’s the classic Winged Hive Tyrant (or Flyrant) and even the Swarmlord if you want to name drop. Whichever option you choose, it’s an HQ worth it’s biomass.

Trooper-wise you’re getting 36 Termagants. Perfect for taking objectives and clogging up the enemies plans. Or at least their weapons with their bodies. We also get a tease that their Fleshborers might have gotten an upgrade…

Oh and don’t discount those Ripper Swarms either. You’ll be able to build 3 bases of them as well to help pad out that model count (and troop selection). Alternatively snag some extra bases. Then put 3 Rippers to a base to stretch out those swarms…but who’s counting?!

On top of all that you’re also going to get your hands on 3 Tyranid Warriors. These medium-sized bugs are great for lots of things. They can provide some extra direction for your little guys and can be equipped for a variety of different roles. They really are quite utilitarian.

Keep an eye out for this new Combat Patrol — The Tyranids are coming soon.
