Giada Gives Back To New Capenna In New Spoiler Batch
Giada is a font of hope to the people of New Capenna. And she’s the heart of two incredible Magic The Gathering cards from the last batch of spoilers.
The Streets of New Capenna can be a cruel, unforgiving place. They aren’t kind to people who are down and out. But that’s where Giada comes in. The angel of the city. She considers herself a font of hope to those in need. And in a city this grimy, there’s a lot who need.
Let’s take a look at some of what she brings to New Capenna.
Giada in New Capenna
Giada, Font of Hope is an extremely powerful angel. She’s cheap to cast, she gives you mana advantage for angels only. And, what’s more, she makes your angels better. The more of ’em you have, the better they are.
On top of all that she comes with the standard flying and vigilance combo. But there’s more.
Luxior, Giada’s Gift, is a legendary piece of equipment that will turn a planeswalker into a creature. It also turns any counter into a source of +1/+1s that can catch an opponent off guard.
Also There’s A Dino
New Capenna might have you green with envy. But it might also just have you playing green, thanks to cards like the Topiary stomper.
Which is easily my second favorite card in the set. But that’s surpassed only by the Titan of Industry.
Which is exactly what it says on the tin. This card could be utter trash and it would still be my favorite for the pun alone. But it actually looks like it could be really fun to play with. Then of course there’s Refuse to Yield, which is the living embodiment of “if someone tries to defenestrate you, you defenestrate them right back,.”
