The Kids in the Hall return next month with all-new episodes and more head-crushing.

The Kids in the Hall formed in the mid-1980s and made its way to the CBC (and then HBO and Comedy Central) thanks to their surreal sense of humor and small cast. If you went to high school in the 1990s you would hear their punch lines quoted constantly. Along with The State, it was Gen X’s Monty Python. The 105-episode run got three Emmy nominations before ending in 1995.

They produced some of the funniest most subversive stuff on television.

A taste if you’ve never watched one of the shows…

The Kids in the Hall Return

A revival was announced by Amazon in 2020. It’s finally here. Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson wake up in the grave of their past show in this first trailer. Along with a small look at what they have planned – there are several familiar characters.

“Do you know what Amazon wants from ‘Kids in the Hall?’”
“Yes Don. A funny show but one that is free from targets, topical topics, alarming edginess or unsettling settings.”

Which means it will be filled with them. The season has eight episodes. I am looking forward to having a good laugh – we all need it right now.

Kids in the Hall Season 6 debuts on Amazon on May 13th.
