If you thought 40k Knights hit hard before take a look at these new weapon profiles and tremble.

The thunderous clank of metal on metal is echoing in the distance. Knights of both varieties are coming to the tabletop. Chaos and Imperial Knights square off once again and this time they are both getting some brand new updates to their weapons. These profiles are going to blow your socks off — or at the very least your units off the table!

“Knight Houses have always been competitive – and traitor and loyalist Households have a particular enmity, so with both Codex: Imperial Knights and Codex: Chaos Knights just over the horizon, they’re itching to do battle with an extensive arsenal of upgraded weapons. In what we can only assume is a bid to coax new Noble pilots to their side, both factions are here to show off their most improved wargear.”

New Knight Weapon Profiles

The Plasma Decimator has gotten a boost in Strength, AP, and Damage across the board. Sidenote: That also applies to their overheated self-damage. In any case this weapon will make quick work of those pesky 2 wound marines of all flavors now!

The Reaper Chainsword is getting an overhaul. It’s now got two different weapon profiles and improved stats as well. This should make the melee option a tad more appealing to choose.

While the Laser Destructor did lose a potential shot it’s made up for it in other areas. It’s now a flat 2 shots with an extended range of 72″ along with an extra point of AP. The damage is ALSO more impressive with a raised minimum damage per shot of 7 with a cap of 9. I like these changes as it makes the weapon a lot more consistent overall. Nothing felt quite as bad as getting a hit and wound but then rolling a 1 on the damage dice.

With the changes to the Las-Impulsor you’re getting a flatter damage curve but it should be more damage overall. The extra range on the High Intensity shot is nice and the added Blast keyword should also help with those attacks.

So there you have it – new weapon profiles coming soon. Will these be enough to pack the punch knights need or do you think they are going to fall flat? Let us know in the comments!

The Plasma Decimator might have just won the most improved weapon award for the Knights.
