Warhammer Fest gave us a lot to think about.

This week gave us a ton of exciting new reveals, thanks to Warhammer Fest. 40k, AoS, and several of the smaller games got some exciting reveals for what’s on the horizon. But of course, we’re gamers, so even with a cornucopia of new releases, we’re always looking forward to the next big thing. For the AoS world, we saw a lot of awesome new stuff, like a dynamic Deathmaster, some bug-riding tree knights, and a pair of spectacular new heroes. As excited as I am about all this, I want to ask; what now? Here are three things that I hope we see on the AoS horizon soon.

More Skaven

The Deathmaster we got is a fantastic model, but it was a bit of a letdown that was ALL we saw. With a new battletome on the way soon, it seems strange that the only updated model we saw was the hero, especially with how outdated some of the sculpts are, and how many new kits the Sylvaneth got. Skaven is a massive faction with several options, but many kits are old enough to drink, and a few can probably start drawing social security. We desperately need some new Eshin stuff, which we could get perfectly with…

A New Battlebox

Following the pattern we’ve seen with new reveals so far, this isn’t that much of a stretch. We have new tomes, two new heroes, and some new boxes. After Arena of Shades and Fury of the Deep, it would stand to reason we’ll see a Skaven vs. Sylvaneth boxset to preview the new goodies. Hopefully, it also means some new Skaven (if we get it at all), but we’ll have to wait and see.

Umbraneth for the New Cities

We know that new Cities, or at least a Cities adjacent army, are in the works, and it would be the perfect time to bring in some Shadow Aelves. Of course, GW may be waiting to move the story into Ulgu before tipping their hand, or maybe they’re one of the new books on the way later this year. I can only hope.

What do you want to see next?
