These Horus Heresy upgrade kits for the Sons of Horus look intimidating and spiky. It’s our first hits at Chaos influence.

The Legion Space Marines are supposed to be warriors first and foremost. They are an army and the tip of the Imperial Spear. So it makes sense they would be intimidating to the enemy. That said, these new helmets are taking that vibe up another step. With these upgrade kits, your helmets are getting a boost in the “chaosy-vibes” category.

“The Warmaster’s lads wear their fierce Cthonian upgrading with macabre pride. The Imperial Fists’ laurel wreaths may look nice and signify a tedious kind of moral superiority, but a crown of spikes is what shows you really mean business of the martial sort.”

Sons of Horus Upgrade Kits

These are resin upgrade packs that add 11 different heads. There are a total of 3 sets of three designs plus two additional heads. One has battle scars and the other is a top-knot fitted helmet — perfect for a Praetor!

This isn’t the only upgrade pack either. There are also some pauldrons you can purchase to spruce up your Sons of Horus:

Personally, I’d rather buy the resin shoulder pads than apply decals. But that’s only because I’m terrible with decals and prefer the 3-D versions anyhow. You get 10 in the pack to upgrade your models. These are designed to fit best with the other MKVI “Beakie” armor. But, to be honest, shoulder pauldrons are somewhat interchangeable… Worst case a little greenstuff should help make them fit just right.

These two sets along with the Imperial Fist set should be up for pre-order together. We’ll be keeping an eye out for them!
