Let’s crack open that just announced Warcry: Heart of Ghur box and see what’s inside.

The Heart of Ghur new boxed set was just announced by GW at the Skirmish Seminar. Today they show us all a look inside.

First up, we got the full set of contents for the new starter set:

It has all the basics you expect, from warbands, to custom terrain, to the cards, board, rulebook, and the odds and ends like dice and rulers.

New Warbands

The big news obviously are the two new warbands. Let’s dive right in. The box contains Horns of Hashut, who look strangely familiar, and the Rotmire Creed.

“They may carry hammers and other tools of the forge, but the Horns of Hashut prefer destruction to creation. They harness the power of fire and leave nothing but charred corpses in their wake, just as Hashut demands.”

“Facing off against the Horns of Hashut are the Rotmire Creed, twisted followers of Lord Leech. These hardy warriors seek to transform the verdant forest into a diseased swampland – a perfect place for their deity to call home.”

Ghur Terrain

Next up we get several shots of the new terrain set – the Ghur Gnarlwood. Plenty of bamboo, boulders, creepy trees and skulls, skulls everywhere. Sounds about right for Ghur.

Rulebook & Accessories

Finally we get an all new full Warcry rulebook, an additional one for the new Warbands, and the the nitty gritty gameplay accessories including:

  • Warband Cards
  • Game board
  • Dice
  • Ruler
  • Tokens

I have a feeling the strong similarities between the Horns of Hashut and the old Warhammer Fantasy Chaos Dwarfs isn’t a coincidence.

I’m sure Heart of Ghur will be along any time now!
