Games Workshop has drop another Rumor Engine on us and it’s got some Hieroglyphics that could tease something big.

It’s that magical time of the week called “Tuesday” when GW drops a new Rumor Engine and we can all speculate wildly. Today we have a treat for fans of mysteries and clue-gathering. So, without further ado, take a look for yourself!

“Don’t panic, everyone. Our last report from the Rumour Engine may have implied that some manner of daemonic possession had overtaken our dear machine, but that’s probably just the after-effects of yesterday’s Codex: Chaos Daemons reveal. In fact, it’s better this way.”

Rumor Engine: Hieroglyphics

So what do we have here?! Well, clearly this is some sort of polyhedral shape with some etchings on a few of the sides. Could this be a free standing obelisk? We’ve seen GW do that before with various armies from their ranges. The first one that comes to mind is the Ossiarch Bonereapers. The Bone Tithe Nexus has a lot of carvings made from stone:

But really, there are two big clues on the two faces that have etchings on them. First up we have a symbol that’s somewhat reminiscent of the Tzeentch icon:

The flame shape coming off a circle and a creatures that has a strange beak-like head:

Flame, circle, and beak-face? Seems pretty Tzeentchy to me!

On the other face we have a bunch of symbols that are harder to make out. Some of them might also be damaged from the cracks that are forming on this shape. I’m completely biased here because I play OBR and I can’t unsee these carvings as their markings. It’s also a bad angle and my brain is defaulting to them. It doesn’t help that they also use that polyhedral shape for things:

I mean, the symbols aren’t exact matches. So I am doubtful that it’s Ossiarch related. So what other army could it be? Well, Tzeentch is in the running. It could also be some new terrain feature. Whatever it is, color me curious!

Now it’s your turn. If you’ve got ideas on what this could be or where those symbols are from specifically drop us a line in the comments. We’d love to get to the bottom of this Rumor Engine.

What do those Hieroglyphics say? If you can make them out please tell us!
