Horus Heresy: Classic Units Get Free Rules Download

Do you have a Horus Heresy Army with some Indomitus Terminators? Would you like some rules to use them again? Games Workshop has you covered.

With the new edition of Horus Heresy the Loyalists and the Traitors got new books with all their rules. However, as massive as those Liber Tomes are they still didn’t get every unit from previous editions. The good news is that Games Workshop has released some free rules to help out in that department. If you had older, classic Marine units that technically would have been “newer” for the Horus Heresy era that’s what this update is all about. These are for all those armies that were around before the Horus Heresy era models were ever released.

There are two downloads for your Horus Heresy gaming. The Legacies of The Age of Darkness download covers a wide variety of units. It’s got rules for expanding the general pool of Legiones Astartes units, specific Legion Astartes Units (including a few characters), andalso covers Fortifications and their rules.

The second download is basically another batch of Specialty units and their rules. You’ll see Legion Specific Units like the Imperial Fists Huscarls or the World Eaters Red Hand Destroyer Assault Squad. These units were featured in previous Exemplary Battle features on the Warhammer Community site.

Both of these downloads are great resources of any Horus Heresy games. It’s a great way to give the Horus Heresy a try — especially if you have any Classic Marine units that you want to dust off and bring to the tabletop in the Horus Heresy!
