House Escher is getting two new Hangers-on with very specific talents. Hope you like poison and precognitive powers.

The House of Blades is getting two special Hangers-on. Shivvers and the Apprentice Clan Chymist.  Not only will they be new models to add to your collection but they also bring their specialty services to the gang. But what sorts of things can you expect from them? That’s what we’re going to try to figure out.

Shivvers

” Escher’s Shivvers can see into the future – or so they claim – and many a Gang Queen will visit one of these underhive oracles, hoping for a glimpse of what is to come.”

These soothsayers have precognitive talents that are at the gangs disposal — for a price. Unfortunately, their predictions aren’t always 100% clear. They have been know to drop hints that could lead to great treasures or that might have been a warning about great danger ahead.

I’m not saying they are wrong when they give predictions. I’m just saying it’s a matter of interpretation. Oracle-like figures are known for their cryptic and vague phrases that turn out to be true from a certain point of view.

Apprentice Clan Chymist

Not only can an Apprentice Clan Chymist help to brew up new concoctions for your gang to use in battle, but if your Gang Queen or one of your Gang Matriarchs is slain, there’s a chance you can bring them back as a Death-maiden!

These yet-to-be masters of poisons can cook up some interesting concoctions for your gangers. They tinker in poisons and toxins which need to be field tested. So these Apprentice Clan Chymists need to head to the front line where their mixes can be used in the heat of battle.

That said, they also have that chance to bring back a slain Gang Matriarch back as a Death Maiden. From a narrative perspective I think this is totally worth keeping one around!

Both of these models will be up for pre-order from Forge World soon. If you want to check out their rules you can find them in the House of Blades book.
