In the upcoming Liber Mechanicum – Force of the Omnissiah all the rules you’ll need to run the Mechanicum will be at your disposal. That means it’s robots and death rays time!

Today, we’re getting a look at some of their rules. You do NOT want to get on the Mechanicum’s bad side.

“Not everyone comes to Warhammer: The Horus Heresy to fight with Adeptus Astartes. Some take up their dice in the name of the Omnissihah. These cyber-augmented armies are bristling with esoteric weaponry and apocalyptic war machines, creating a unique presence within the battles of the 31st Millennium.”

Horus Heresy: Mechanicum Rules Preview

The Mechanicum comes with seven different High Techno-Arcana which open up some different wargear and special rules. GW provided Cybernetica as an example:

“An Archmagos with Cybernetica turns all Castellan Battle-automata Maniples in their Detachment into Line Units – troops that can score objectives and deny them to your opponent – and makes them more effective at pulverising cravens that hide in cover. It also lets Automata become effective bodyguards for the Archmagos and shield him from damage.”

That seems particularly handy if you wanted to go that route for an army. So if you like those Castellan Battle-automata this could be the High Techno-Arcana discipline for you!

As another example we have the Myrmidax High Techno-Arcana for fans of the Thanatar-Calix Siege-automata:

Who doesn’t like hard-hitting units in your games, right?! Those Myrmidon Secutor Hosts as Troops is a nice way to pay the “troop tax” imo!

Oh…and if you’re a fan of really big robots, we have more good news: Liber Mechanicum – Force of the Omnissiah also has all the rules for Questoris Households. If you want to run Knights in your Horus Heresy army this is how you’re going to get to do that.

“This barely scratches the rusty surface of the Liber Mechanicum – Forces of the Omnissiah, which contains many diverse ways of waging war, including the unparalleled might of the Titan Legions.”

The Mechanicum is bringing some of the biggest guns available to the Horus Heresy. Are you ready for them!?
