They might not be able to cross the Blind Eternities, but they do get around. They’ll be facing some familiar faces when they converge on Dominaria, though. Let’s take a look.

We start with a face we haven’t seen in quite a while. Karn, Living Legacy, the silver golem was created to travel in time. He’s a master of artifacts, and had many adventures with the Weatherlight and their crew. He became a Planeswalker while fighting off Yawgmoth, god of the Phyrexians.

However, ultimately Karn was captured and corrupted by them. And ultimately rescued and freed from their tyranny. Before being captured again by Compleated Planeswalkers, and was last seen being brought before Elesh Norn on New Phyrexia.

This Cult Conscript, on the other hand, is a skeleton who takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’. As long as a non-skeleton creature you control also dies.

The Plaza of Heroes is not only amazing mana fixing, it’s also a remembrance of some of Dominaria’s greatest heroes. It can inspire legends to fight on with renewed vigor.

And speaking of tireless heroes, the Serra Paragon keeps your graveyard in play. At least for one more turn.

The Hero’s Heirloom might help your creatures benefit from the Plaza of Heroes, as it turns them legendary and gives them +2/+1, trample and haste.

Rona’s Vortex feels like what we’ve been living in for the last few years. But this card also is a great way to remove a card for a good long while. It takes a lot to get a card off of the bottom of a library.

Jaya Ballard with the actual wisdom worth remembering. Phyrexians are flammable. Just like everything else.

And finally our Phyrexian Defiler of Flesh. A terrifying engine of destruction who feeds on your life total, sure, but it’s probably worth it.
