It was only a matter of time. But now a new bloody DLC, Blood for the Blood God III is at hand. Bloody finishers for all.

Khorne loves blood. And most of Total War: Warhammer III’s players are tempted by Khorne. After all, why would you send thousands to die heroically in battle—or ignominiously in auto-resolve—if you didn’t want at least a little blood for the blood god?

And now in Blood for the Blood God III, the upcoming blood, death, and gore DLC for Total War: Warhammer III, you’ll get exactly that. Take a look.

Total War: Blood for the Blood God III

It starts off pretty normal. Just another batch of armies, but wait, what’s this?

You’ve got red on you. But, that’s just a pale shadow compared to what’s coming next. If you want to bathe your armies in blood, and Khorne definitely does, then Blood for the Blood God III will be right up your alley.

This, much like the two other Blood for the Blood God DLCs adds new animations, textures, and effects to the game. It’s an optional blood and gore effects pack that will let you make the game as bloody as you want it.

With the DLC installed, limbs will be hacked off. Individual models will get cut in half. And new kill animations will be added in spades. These sync kills reflect some of the unique interactions that can be had when a thousand pound minotaur comes crashing into your line of infantry, for instance.

We also got to see the Bloodthirster squeezing most of the juice out of a line of Kislev soldiers. And there’s plenty more where that came from.

Also Creative Assembly has clarified, if you already own one of the previous Blood for the Blood God DLCs, you won’t need to pay for this one. The previous titles you own will, however, have to be on the same platform that you have Total War: Warhammer III on.
