Magic: the Gathering’s latest Un-set, Unfinity heralds a carnival-like atmosphere of broken rules and busted text. Unfinity spoilers here!

It is a glorious time for Magic: the Gathering. Unfinity is around the corner, and with this latest batch of Unfinity spoilers, it’s looking like this is going to be one phenomenally broken set. Of course, like most of the un-sets it’s not, exactly, tournament legal. Though some cards will contain the acorn symbol, which mirrors the silver border of other un-sets, meaning they could slot right in to your casual Magic games if you’re cool and willing to have fun.

And after you see some of these Unfinity spoilers, you just might be. Let’s dig in.

Unfinity Spoilers

Like all good Un-sets, there’s a healthy mix of competitiveness and tongue-in-cheek fun on display here. There are a surprising number of cards that interact with the roll of a die. Whether it’s giving you an extra one, or asking you to alter the results:

Or any number of other options.

Six-Sided Die is my personal favorite for being both a noun and a command. Especially since it has six different ways to remove a creature.

Other cards in the set lean into the theme park/carnival artwork seen in many of the cards. You might earn tickets, have your car impounded, or visit many fantastic attractions:

And there are some interesting little meta game developments in here. Like the ________ Goblin, who gets a lot out of vowels.

Although, as you’ll see, that’s not always going to come in handy. You might get Disemvoweled.

But names matter a great deal thanks to another mechanic: alpha strike:

And this leans into my own preferred mechanic in Unfinity games. The kinds of moves that make for legendary plays and interesting rulings, like “in response, I take off my pants.” Unfinity has plenty of those so far.

There’s Pietra, Crafter of Clowns, who will reward people with access to a crowd (have to verify they laughed). Bring your own discord/skype/zoom meet ahead of time and build an army of hasted Clown Robots.

Or Fblthp the Super-Duper Lost:

How many doors can you see from your seat? That depends on your Google game.
