Games Workshop is showcasing some of the weapons that the Leagues of Votann are going to unleash in Warhammer 40,000.

The Leagues of Votann are coming soon and they are bringing a new batch of weapons to the tabletop. These guns seem very similar to their Imperial counterparts but slightly different. Almost as if they were from some sort of alternate timeline or from a group that splintered off and developed their own weapons…

In anycase, we’re getting a small taste of the firepower the Leagues are going to unleash. Get ready for some devastating damage from these Kin!

“Their Votann Ancestor Cores contain stockpiles of STCs long lost to the Imperium, original templates and schematics for powerful weaponry that the Kin can modify and update to their specifications. These stout folk have many guns – big, small, straightforward, and strange. Put simply, they are stacked with firepower.”

The most common type of weapon from the Leagues of Votann are the HunTR weapons. These weapons introduce a new weapon type to the game: HunTR. Any HunTR weapons fire as many times as are listed by their profile. Just “steady and reliable” shooting.

Magna-Rails are also quite devastating. They are taking a page from the T’au here with the way they work. They ignore Invulnerable saves and unmodified 6s to wound cause spill over damage to the unit — their shots just keep going!

Beam weapons aren’t new to 40k but the Leagues of Votann versions are pretty spicy! You pick your target and fire away. For every hit you cause, you also hit a unit that is underneath that same line and get to roll to wound them also. They still have to be a legal target but that’s got a lot of potential for damage output!

This is just the tip of the iceberg for the Leagues of Votann Weapons. We still have quite a few other ranged weapons to cover and we haven’t even touched their melee options. Get ready for a new batch of boom from these space fairing Kin!

Those League weapons are looking nasty! What are you excited about using on the tabletop?
