From classic skulls to the entire Lich King, there are spooky and creepy dice towers for all of your party’s Halloween game needs.

I love a good dice tower. I think they’re so helpful and useful to have at the table. Sure, they’re not strictly necessary, but isn’t it nice to have something simple to keep dice rolls fair, contained, and most importantly, dramatic? And these dice towers are a little extra spooky for that bonus Halloween time fun.

1. Skull Tower

From top to bottom, this one is just a slam dunk. You drop a dice in through the skull’s eye and it drops into the mouth. It reminds me of the giant jewel in the skull in The Rescuers so while this tower may aim for a creepy feel, some of us may find it strangely nostalgic of the animated villains of our past. The spider on top really completes the tower for a look that’s Halloweeny but also good for adventures all year round.

2. Grim Reaper Tower

A little less subtle and with a couple more skulls, this dice tower depicts the grim reaper sitting on a throne. If your DM pulls this out of their bag at the beginning of the session, you’ll know your party is in for it. To top it all off, the large skull lights up to look even eviler. Imagine rolling a nat one out of a light-up skull during a horror one shot. Oof.

3. Haunted House

For an aesthetic that’s a little more flexible for everyday use, the haunted house dice tower creates more of an allusion to ghosts than the actual literal undead. It’s also a beautiful and well-designed piece. Classic architecture and old haunted houses are always a winner in my book. This one just happens to let you roll some dice through the interior.

4. Plague Doctor

Something about a plague doctor joining our party still just feels too soon. But a good design is a good design. This old-timey doctor and his crow friend stand ten inches tall and your dice will fall through that entire length for a random, fair roll every time. The tray at the bottom isn’t huge, but it will keep your dice safely contained at the end of each roll.

5. Screaming Skeleton

Is the dice tower made of the skeleton, or is the skeleton made of dice tower? He screams for he does not know! Really, what a great design. It’s spooky, but also a little silly and funny. Why is this skeleton having an undead breakdown? Why does he remind me of the clock-guarding skeleton from The Last Unicorn? And will you make an ‘om nom nom’ noise when you put dice in his mouth? We both know the answer is yes.

Do you use a dice tower at your table? Will any of our top picks be making it onto your wish list or into your next game session? Which monster would you want a dice tower modeled after? Let us know in the comments!

Happy adventuring!
