A new cinematic scenario hits for the Alien RPG, bringing with it the conclusion to a long saga of undiscovered life forms and milky robots.

What is it about Weyland-Yutani and putting milk in robots? Sure, there are plenty of other questions you can ask in the Aliens RPG. What’s my objective? How do we survive in the face of deadly species and the harsh environment of the furthest reaches of space? Can we trust each other when I know I have a secret objective that involves me betraying the rest of the party?

But the real one is what’s up with all that milk. Something tells me, that’s not exactly at the heart of Heart of Darkness the new, epic conclusion to the Alien RPG cinematic campaign that’s been unfurling over the last two major adventure releases. The self-described “spiraling descent into soul-crushing madness” is about more important things.

Like exploring a space station and finding all the ways you might die horribly within.

Alien RPG: Heart of Darkness – $30

The company found a new lifeform, and they want you to study it. Their offer’s uncharacteristically generous—you catalog this organism, determine how they can use it, and bring it back so they can slap their patent on it. Fairly routine stuff. In exchange, they’ll hook you up with a cushy corporate department head position, secure you a book deal, and make sure the institute of your choice gives you tenure. Did I mention the money? There’s a lot of it. Simple survey, sample, and analysis job. Seemed too good to be true.

Of course it is.

Heart of Darkness is a complete Cinematic Scenario for the ALIEN roleplaying game. It is a stand-alone adventure but also serves as a conclusion to the Draconis Strain Saga begun in the cinematic scenario Chariot of the Gods and continued in Destroyer of Worlds. The scenario is designed for 3–5 players plus the Game Mother and is a spiraling descent into soul-crushing madness. This boxed set contains:
