‘The Patient’ Review – One of Us

2 Minute Read
Nov 12 2022

This thriller pits a serial killer patient against a kidnapped therapist in a battle of the mind. Check out the One of Us crew’s The Patient review.

We here at one of us can not stress how important therapy is and are happy to participate in the takedown of the taboo surrounding mental health and psychiatric help. That being said, if you need a therapist please don’t abduct a doctor and chain them up in your basement.

Joel Fields and Joseph Weisberg present The Patient. Doctor Alan Strauss (Steve Carell) wakes up one day to find himself chained to a bed with Sam Fortner (Domhnall Gleeson) who is obviously in desperate need of psychiatric care. Sam tells Dr. Strauss that he needs to be fixed….or else.  Dr. Strauss in his prison reflects on this life and contemplates what he can do to ensure his future.

We’re not going to tell you if you’re ‘cool’ or ‘uncool’ based on what you’re passionate about. We believe in mutual respect and sharing our geekdoms with each other. We believe in having a hell of a good time. Does this sound like you?
