The wait for winter break may seem Endless (heh), but Netflix has given us the gift of a new Sandman extended scene.

While we’re all eagerly awaiting the second season of Netflix’s hit adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, we’re all ready for the casting reveals and filming news to start pouring in. We’ve all got our ears to the pavement, but in the meantime, the streamer has gifted us with a Sandman extended scene.

Death Talks About Living

The scene builds on a fan-favorite moment during a conversation between Dream and his sister, Death. In the clip, she tells Dream exactly how she stays so grounded when it comes to her role in the lives of humans.

The extended scene is exciting, and not just because it’s another moment straight from the comics. The Sandman universe is rife with opportunities for character spin-offs. The series has already released two surprise additional stand-alone episodes – seeing the day that Death decided to try living would be an excellent additional episode.

Sandman Season 2 Details

In early November, fans learned that the show got the green light for a second season. And there was much rejoicing. If the show continues to follow closely to the order of the books, the next chapter of Netflix’s Sandman will introduce several new key characters, including two more members of the EndlessDelerium and Destiny.

There’s been no casting news yet about the second season, and it’s unknown when the show will go back into production. For now, I guess we’ll all have to binge Sandman again. Oh nooo…?
