The latest patch note for Warhammer 40K: Darktide, titled The Signal crashed onto the scene over the weekend, with new weapons and more.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide has thundered into the open with guns blazing and power mauls swinging. Doubly so since the release of a brand new big patch: 1.0.20, aka The Signal.

In this new “content drop” of a patch, not only do we get a number of important new fixes, including the ability to go for Private Play, we also get two brand new weapons: Power Mauls anyone would be happy to wield in the name of the Emperor. Check it out!

Warhammer 40K: Darktide Patch 1.0.20 – The Signal

This patch adds some important stability updates. With Patch 1.0.20, Fatshark have identified several critical issues impacting the game’s stability. With the new patch, Penance issues, and server crashes should be much less frequent.

As well “several cases” that would cause GPUs to crash have been fixed, same with the issues causing the client to crash while using weapons with attack speed/reload speed buffs. Meaning now you can power up your friends without worrying about yeeting them out of the mission for your trouble.

But there’s more! This is not just a patch, but also a “content drop.” Which adds a new map, two new weapons, the new Refine option in the crafting menu, and more!

  • Two new weapons:
    • The Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher, a two-handed Power Maul for Zealots
    • The Achlys Mk I Power Maul, a one-handed Power Maul for Ogryns.
  • Private Play is now available when starting a mission from the mission board for Strike Teams of 2 to 4 players.
  • Refine is now available in the Shrine of the Omnissiah.
    • You can now choose to refine a single perk, which will lock other perks.
    • Perks in the item card view will show their Tier through the number of ♦ next to the perk ranging from 1 to 4.
    • Each Refine action taken on the perk will see a cost reduction for resources.
  • A new condition:
    • Hunting Grounds: Rejects will have to fend off increased numbers of Pox Hounds.

Good luck, Rejects!
