Games Workshop has more Arks of Omen Tarot Cards to behold. What do these reveals tell us about the future of 40k?

Last Friday we didn’t see an update on the Arks of Omen page. We even checked Saturday…still no update. “Perhaps the teasers were over?” We thought as the first book in the series is dropping soon. Alas, this week was not the case! There was a new video as well as another teaser card from last week, too! Maybe it was a browser/cache thing…

Anyhow, let’s take a look at both of the new cards/teasers this week!

Arks of Omen X – Astartes

And here stand the Angels of Death

But unbroken

That is some interesting artwork to represent the Astartes. I’m wondering why they chose those specific colors as well. It reminds me of classic paintings of biblical angels as well. Also, what’s up with the Illuminati eyes and triangles? Perhaps I’m reading into this one too much (or not enough). On to the next one!

Arks of Omen XI – The Lightning Tower

XI – The Lightning Tower

The Lightning Tower

A great war

Fire and wrath unleash on sacred rock

This one is curiously similar to an Imperial Bastion tower. The eagle heads are clearly nods to the Imperium and the shape is interesting. I do wonder why it’s called The Lightning Tower as it’s being hit by the lightning and not causing the lightning to shoot out. Would that make this The Lightning Rod?

Either way, this one hints at a great war that’s coming soon. And yeah…we know that’s happening because of the Arks of Omen event. I do wonder if the Astartes and this tower are tied together somehow. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out…soon!

As always, you can check out the Arks of Omen page for the rest of the videos and keep tabs on any future updates!

I wonder how many more cards we’re going to get to see…
