The new year begins with Chaos. Next week it’s Slaves to Darkness and the Warmaster himself: Horus Ascended.

It’s a whole new year, and that means it’s time for Chaos to come calling once again. And this week, it’s a Chaos cavalcade with pre-order releases for the Slaves to Darkness set as well as the Warmaster in a brand new form. So be sure and check out Horus Ascended.

All of these are up next week. Here’s a look at what’s coming!

Age of Sigmar – Slaves to Darkness

First up, Slaves to Darkness. These champions of Chaos are here to bring spikes and skulls to the Mortal Realms, and it all kicks off with a brand new battletome.

Alongside those, a new Vanguard box, which contains a grand total of 17 miniatures:

  • 10 Multipart Chaos Warriors
  • Five Chaos Knights with upgrade sprue
  • Chaos Chariot
  • Chaos Lord

Of course, you’ll need someone to whom your vanguard is sworn into the service of. And for that, you’ll want the gorgeous new Daemon Prince.

This kit comes with a different head for each Chaos god, as well as weapons fit for the past, present, and even the grim darkness of the distant future because this kit has options compatible with 40K.

Alongside the Demon Prince, the Chaos Lord on Karkadrak is available for purchase individually. In case you want a giant chaos lizard with a giant chaos hero atop it.

Speaking of heroes, though. It doesn’t get more heroic, or villainous, depending on your perspective, than Eternus, Blade of the First Prince. Imbued with the souls of Stormcast Eternals, he can come as is, or be built as Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount.

The Exalted Hero of Chaos leads the spate of new unmounted minis, which will get a boost with the new General’s Handbook.

Accompanying him, Chaos Chosen, Warriors, and Ogroid Theridons.

As well as some new Chaos Knights.

Horus Ascended

But all this Chaos in the Mortal Realms is nothing compared to the deep, dark power granted to the ultimate traitor. A man so malefic he had to be unmade. The fallen Warmaster, at the height of his powers: Horus Ascended.

This mighty warrior is outfitted with the Serpent’s Scales, Warmaster’s talon, and Worldbreaker and comes with an optional scenic base that is covered in the skeletal detritus of war. He will be available globally from the Forge World webstore, but for those of you in the UK, Europe, and the USA he will be on sale on the Games Workshop webstore too.

All this, next week!
