Warhammer: US Open Series Locations And Events
Want to make your way to the World Championships of Warhammer? You’re going to want to head to one of these events if you’re in the US.
Games Workshop has announced the US Open Series as well as the World Championships of Warhammer. It’s time to start banking vacation days and planning trips. And you might want to bring some friends, too…
“Every event will host tournaments for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Kill Team. Additionally, depending on the specific US Open, there will also be Organised Play on offer for Warhammer Underworlds, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy and Blood Bowl.”
Each event is going to be slightly different and offer their own host of things to do. Check out where each one is and what events will be held below.
US Open Kansas City – Sheraton Crown Center, Kansas City, Missouri
This one sounds pretty great if you’ve got a group going as you can enter the team tournaments! Also this note:
“The winning teams will all earn tickets to the World Championships – meaning you and four of your friends could all be heading for the finals in Atlanta!”
That’s a pretty awesome prize for the winning team. Also, there’s lots of other prizes for things like: “best spirit, team-wide theme, displays, and more. “
US Open Tacoma 2023 – Tacoma Convention Center, Tacoma, Washington
Tacoma is hosting a more traditional tournament with the Grant Tournament structure in place. There’s also a ton of other events going on, too. I’m curious about the “One-day Friendly Tournament” event and what that entails.
US Open Tampa 2023 – Tampa Convention Center, Tampa Bay, Florida
Tampa Bay is going to have another series of GTs as well as the other events, too. It’s great to see these events go from coast-to-coast! If you live on the East Coast and flying to Tacoma doesn’t work out you’ve got a nice trip down to Tampa Bay in October to plan for.
Grand Narrative and the World Championships of Warhammer – Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta, GA
And finally the big finale. The World Championships of Warhammer will be held in Atlanta this year and you’ve got to earn your spot to get in. But hey, even if you don’t get in, you’ve got the 40k Grand Narrative event to snag a ticket for.
