Games Workshop showed off the next two Battletomes for Age of Sigmar for Grand Alliance Death along with a new Road Map!

Death has two new books on the way along with a pair of new heroes. We knew they were slated next but we didn’t know exactly which ones…until now. It’s the Ossiarch Bonerapers and the Soulblight Gravelords!

New Ossiarch Bonereapers

They didn’t go into a ton of detail about the Ossiarch Bonereapers (which was a real shame) but it does sound like there’s some big changes. There was mention that they were going to get to interact with the core rules again. Soooo I’m really hoping Relentless Discipline got a major rework (it sounds like it). Katakros was also name-dropped as someone who’s gotten new/updated rules, too.

Their new character is the Mortisan Ossifector. Their job as a wizard is to make the big warmachines so I’m curious what that will translate to on the tabletop.

You can see it rebuilding something BIG there.

Okay, I’m a little bummed they got the same cover art…but that was some pretty cool art to begin with. Anyhow, there’s not a ton to go off for them either.

They did mention that the new book is going to incorporate a lot of the models and units that were released post-battletome. So that’s a plus. They were the final book before 3.0 launched so while they were designed to work in the new version of the game they didn’t quite get all the cool toys. That’s been addressed. They also are getting a new character, too.

Ivya Volga is a unique character and she’s an outcast among the Gravelords. She’s a bit of a loner/woodsman type and she goes out hunting big beasts and kills them to drink their blood. That seems like a pretty cool schtick to me!

New Road Map Details

We now have a much better picture for the Spring releases. Seraphon will have another “mystery book” in the summer along with the new General’s Handbook. It feels like the current GHB is still pretty new so that’s a little odd. Also the Cities of Sigmar are on the way in the Autumn and GW teased a few of their models, too:

They are still a ways off…but it’s looking good so far! Plus, there is yet another mystery book in the Autumn as well. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more on that front.
