Former lawman or just some mythical figure? No one can say for sure. Until they meet justice in the flesh and in walks Ashwood Stranger.

Necromunda is a planet with a lot of history. There’s been a lot of backroom deals and shady events over the years. That’s what happens when you have super populated hives and vast wastes in between. It’s far from a utopian society. That means there’s a lot of wiggle room for the legally gray areas to grow. Often those areas turn dark real quick and whatever moral code that was in place gets rocked to the core. That’s kind of what makes Ashwood Stranger so interesting. He brings the law with him and hunts those who abused it the most.

“Where did Ashwood come from? What is he looking for? It remains a mystery. Some reckon the Stranger was once an Enforcer, and his custom ‘equalizer’ stub pistol certainly has the hallmarks of Palanite manufacture. Then there’s his habit of bringing down rogue Enforcers, when even the Merchant Guild won’t put up a bounty. Not that all Enforcers are his enemies – from time to time, the more virtuous among them will even throw in with the Stranger, if their goals align. “

The Last Lawman

It’s rare to have someone in Necromunda that you can point to as a “force for justice” but that’s exactly who Ashwood is. It’s pretty clear from his kit that he’s seen way to much — and has a story to tell.

Just by looking at the model you can tell he’s travelled the waste and has had some interesting encounters. First up, his armor looks a whole lot like an Palantine Enforcer with a whole lot more wear and tear. It’s been supplemented with Ash Waste Nomad gear like the air supply and cloaks. He’s also got a Nomad Sword on his back — that alone has to be quite the tale!

The scabbard also has a tally on it as well as some Enforcer badges. Perhaps trophies of wrongs that have been righted. And lastly, he’s packing two pistols, one of which is a custom ‘equalizer’ stub pistol. That also sheds some light on his story.

Whoever this lone lawman truly is may remain a mystery. However, he’s going to be available to recruit soon enough. As resin model coming from Forge World you can take him as an Outcast Leader or hire him as a Bounty Hunter. But be warned — don’t step outta line on his watch. You might find yourself on the wrong end of the law!
