Iron-Core has come around for its second time with Wargames Atlantic. These sci-fi stormtroopers look great and are a fast, effective way to build out an army.

If you missed these models the first time, they have been redesigned. Although this newer kit came out in 2020, I finally built mine a few weeks ago. Below we have a quick comparison of the 2013 model by Dreamforge versus the 2020 version by Wargames Atlantic.

These models come from a setting called Iron-Core, which is a gaming world that I know little about. That said, I know cool looking minis.

Building the Miniatures

Let’s look at the Wargames Atlantic models that I built. These miniatures were a little more complex to build than Wargames Atlantic’s Death Fields minis, but at the same time, they weren’t too complicated. If you want to see the sprues, I have pictures on my personal site, or you can check out the video review further down below. As you can see, the minis come in a couple of parts and with a variety of weapons.

The Built Minis

These figures come with no bases, so I tossed them on some 25mm round bases that I bought from a local to me vendor who also ships throughout north America.

When I was done, here is how they looked.

Wrapping it up…

Hopefully you enjoyed this quick review. For those of you who don’t know, Wargames Atlantic make quality hard plastic miniatures at very affordable prices. For a longer review, watch the video above, or come on over to my personal site and give the longer review a read.
