Age of Sigmar: Mortisan Ossifector Buffs The Big Boys
The Ossiarch Bonereapers are getting a new Hero and Games Workshop is showcasing what the Mortisan Ossifector can do.
As an Ossiarch Bonereaper player myself I was excited to hear that the ranks were getting expanded with a new Hero. That Hero is a generic character called the Mortisan Ossifector. At first, I was thinking “do we really need another Mortisan? Don’t they have enough Construct Constructors in the army?” But after further inspection I think this new character will provide some niche support that wasn’t there before. Specifically buffs for the BIG boys.

Mortisan Ossifector – Buffing The Big Boys
The Mortisan Ossifectors are good at doing something the other Mortisans aren’t really known for — they make the big bone constructs and war machines even better than they were. They are all about those Refined Creations.
Ossified Barbs is just one of the boosts you can give to the various Ossiarch Bonereaper units from the Mortisan Ossifector. Additionally, they are Wizards so they can provide a little extra spell punch. But more importantly, they have their own unique spell that allows them to grant these boons to multiple targets!
The fact that they can buff Mortek Crawlers should tip you off that they are going to be able to do something for ranged attacks. I can easily see them staying next to these war machines to fling spells and buff them with whatever magic mojo they have.
Alternatively, Morghasts with an extra Rend sound pretty good, too! Those things always did hit hard…I wonder if they got any other big boosts in the new book.
