Warhammer Fest 2023: Age Of Darkness – New Commanders, Plastic Assault Squads, And Plastic Cerastus Knights
Warhammer Fest 2023 heralds big things for the Age of Darkness. From new Commanders to plastic marines and Knights, check ’em out!
The Age of Darkness is about to get darker. And age-ier. At Warhammer Fest 2023 we got a look at all the big new releases coming up for the Horus Heresy. From the Siege of Cthonia to Plastic Knights, there’s a lot to be excited for.
Let’s take a look at all the new reveals. Starting with the two new Commanders!
Age of Darkness – Cthonian Commanders
First up, Cadre-captain Vheren Ashurhaddon. Leader of the True Sons, and leader of the Sons of Horus Invasion Fleet, Vheren is a consummate fighter, and master of all things melee.
His armour, the Panoply of the Void, is crafted from rare materials extracted from Cthonia’s mines, while the Axe Serpentis he carries was forged from the melted-down remains of vanquished Cthonian gang leaders’ weapons.
Opposing him is Evander Garrius, a veteran commander’s veteran commander.
Clad in ornate Cataphractii armour and wielding a power gauntlet torn from the hand of a Terran dictator, the so-called Tyrant of Cthonia is a force to be reckoned with, and holds no pity nor remorse for the Traitors who come to crash against his fortress.
Plastic Assault Marines
Of course, it isn’t just the infamous Siege of Cthonia that lies in store for the Age of Darkness. Plastic Assault Marines are back, and in all their Heresy glory. That means big bulky jump packs. Chainswords. And most importantly, Beaky Helmets.
Plastic Cerastus Knights
And speaking of plastic, and also things good at assaulting, the legendary Cerastus Knight kit is coming to you in plastic later this year. This kit has been a tried and true Forge World resin number for the last decade. But now, it’s coming to you in glorious grey. Ready to be painted the way you want.
