Paizo unveiled more details about their project with BKOM Studios. Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults will turn the Adventure Path into Diablo.

Yesterday Paizo and BKOM Studios revealed some exciting news about their forthcoming collaboration, announcing the first-ever Action RPG based on Pathfinder. That’s right folks, Pathfinder’s back, in Diablo form! What does this mean?

Soon you and your friends will be able to party up and head out into Gauntlight Keep to hack, slash, and loot your way to victory. And ever-increasing damage numbers. Perhaps you’ll find items of different tiers, color-coded white, green, blue, purple, orange, and so on. You know the drill by now. But let’s take a look at the announcement!

Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults – The First Ever Pathfinder ARPG

The wicked sorceress Belcorra Haruvex has returned to haunt her forsaken home of Gauntlight Keep. There, she covertly assembles an army of monsters, beasts, and abominations with which to take her revenge against those who wronged her in life. Brave heroes are needed to venture forth into these long-forgotten depths, defeat Belcorra’s army, and put her wicked soul to rest — for good.

The game has players delve ever deeper into Gauntlight Keep — a sprawling megadungeon teeming with foul monsters and grotesque abominations—to slay the evil sorceress who has reawakened in its depths. In order to tell a rich story from both the perspective of the adventure and its participants, the game will feature four iconics from the Pathfinder universe, including Amiri and Ezren.

Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults takes the classic adventure path of the same name and turns it into an ARPG. And Abomination Vaults is absolutely perfect for that. It’s a megadungeon full of monsters, abominations, cultists, and enough deadly traps and environmental set pieces to make boss battles challenging.

And all of this is coming to Kickstarter later this month! You can get a chance to see what the project will look like and help make the game the absolute best it can be. The team at BKOM is excited to “create communication” with the fans so that they can make a multiplayer game that will satisfy the Pathfinder community

Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults promises to be a “co-op forward adventure” – so it’ll be you and your buddies against the entire contents of the Bestiary. Want to know more? Then be sure and sign up to be notified when the Kickstarter Campaign goes live.

The Kickstarter launches later this month, we’ll be sure and let you know!
