Move over, Leviathan; it’s time for the rest of Games Workshop to take the spotlight. What ever might the Age of Sigmar bring us?

It’s that beautiful time of year again; time for another Warhammer Preview show! Coming off the massive success of Leviathan, Games Workshop is presenting us a few peeks into some of the OTHER games they offer. Fans of Age of Sigmar, Underworlds, and the upcoming Old World will have a lot to sink their teeth into, and hopefully, the bites are juicy. Of course, as a casual wargame enjoyer, there are a few things that I’m hoping we see, even if they’re a little out of left field.

More Old World Factions

The Old World is one of the most highly anticipated expansions of Warhammer in a long time. Fans of the original Fantasy game have been itching for more information, and the new preview will finally give it to us. While we already know many of the factions returning to the Fantasy Battlefields, I would love to see some expansion on the available factions. We’ll likely see more models for the previously announced armies, but I would love to see the world more fleshed out rather than specific army releases. Whatever we see, however, will be more fuel on the fire of this exciting release.

Flesheater Courts

The Ghoulies have been a little absent in the Old World, and for good reason. Recent updates, tactics, and the fact that they have an ANCIENT battletome have left them a little in the lurch. However, they still have the potential to be amazing, and have some of the gnarliest models in the range. Thanks to the upcoming release of the Dawnbringers box sets, new life has been breathed into their undead lungs, and a resurgence of the children of Ushoran is almost guaranteed. I just hope they treat them better than some of my other army faves and give them some ACTUAL model updates.

Umbraneth

I will never get off this hill until they release the models or I am dead. Malerion is a massive part of the lore, and it’s high time we see the Shadow Aelves that he’s defending Ulgu with. In the last lore installment, we heard that Tyrion is encroaching on Malerion’s territory with a special brand of Lumineth. I’d really love a box set of the two of them settling their differences in the only way they know; war. Plus, it would revitalize the Order faction and jumpstart the lore again. The Dawnbringer Crusades will no doubt make their way into the Shadowlands, and Malerion might take exception. I know this is a reach, but maybe if I yell enough GW will notice.
