Games Workshop teased a massive new hog wild unit coming to the Ironjawz for the Summer. So where did it go?

Back during the Warhammer Fest 2023 preview GW teased a massive new model coming to the Mortal Realms. You might remember the Maw-Grunta for the Ironjawz:

Now, if you watched the video the end of it says that the Maw-Grunta is coming “This Summer” as in the Summer of 2023. Well, we’re smack dab in the middle of Summer and we haven’t seen any more news about it yet. In fact, the only clue we did get was that it might actually be released in the Autumn. What clue was that? It was the AoS Roadmap:

In this updated roadmap we can see that the Summer releases (as far as Battletomes and Supplements) only include the Seraphon, Dawnbringers Harbingers Book I, and the GHB 2023-24 book. In the Autumn we’re getting the new Cities of Sigmar Battletome, and two more Dawnbringer Books. But what’s that cover of the Dawnbringer Book II?

Sure looks like it’s going to be something Orruk related. It would make sense for GW to release the new Maw-Grunta along with the Ironjawz related Dawnbringer book, right? But that places this release squarely in Autumn and after Cities of Sigmar releases.

To reiterate this is all speculation. We might still get the Maw-Grunta later this Summer — I really hope so! The roadmap is also specifically “Battletomes and Supplements” related, too. So maybe that doesn’t include the models. Afterall, the Cities of Sigmar are getting a Launch Box and that release isn’t list here either.

So I’m hoping that the roadmap just isn’t counting model releases. At the same time, it would be a little strange to get this new unit in a vacuum and not have a book or supplement with it’s rules in it. And it’s not like we’re getting a new Orruk Battletome this Summer, too.

So that still leaves us wondering: Where’s the Maw-Grunta at?!
