Games Workshop has even more models they are adding to the Cities of Sigmar range. There’s more Freeguild on the way!

Not too long ago I grabbed all the models I could find for the Cities of Sigmar range and compiled them mostly so I could remember what was coming. I had a funny feeling that wasn’t the end of the line for the model range though. Turns out Games Workshop had been holding back quite a few reveals. And today they have pulled the covers off them for us to see!

“There is a vast military machine that protects the fragile settlements that are slowly reclaiming the realms in the name of the God-King Sigmar. This army of religious zealots, veteran soldiers, and downtrodden folk simply want to earn their place in this wild world, and now it’s time to reveal the last few pieces of this staggering new range.”

Pontifex Zenestra, Matriarch of the Great Wheel

Apparently, Pontifex Zenestra is the Matriarch of the Great Wheel — one of many cults that worship different aspects of Sigmar. This is a pretty crazy model as it has Zenestra on one side of this palanquin and on the other side is a skeleton that has some battle scars that match her own. I’m pretty sure there’s some fishy magic stuff going on here…

Ironweld Great Cannon

Hey a massive cannon! Who would thought that was coming?! But seriously it does look good and also it appears to have a whole lot of different shot packages to deliver. It’s taking a page from the Astra Militarum of 40k with the extras for an artillery piece and I’m here for that.

Freeguild Command Corps

“The Freeguild Marshals are experts in strategy and veterans of combat, accompanied by battlefield aides who bring their own talents to bear.”

From what we can gather there’s a Great Hearld who’s got the banner, a War Surgeon, Soul Shepherds with their “eerie” Corpus Somni players, an Arch-Knight, and a Spymaster. Looks like a cool bunch of characters! Kind of reminds me of the entourage of Katakros that are all on his base — only these are separate models.

Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal

There’s also a Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal included with the army. This is perfect for anyone looking to have a mounted army with those Cavalier models. Also a mounted general just has an extra air of authority, dontcha think?

Battletome: Cities of Sigmar

We also get a look at the cover of the standard edition of the Cities of Sigmar Battletome. New artwork and it’s looking good! The finally seems like GW is bringing back the “mortals” in Mortal Realms.

The Cities of Sigmar Army Box is coming soon and will be your first crack and getting your hands on the Battletome as well as some of the new range. Just don’t call them the Empire!
