It looks like someone’s wings have seen better days. Maybe the latest Rumor Engine will lift their spirits.

We’re back on another Tuesday with the Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. This one is an interesting one because it sure looks like a wing that’s been tore to shreds but it could be teasing a whole lot more. Plus we’ve got a new update on the meta-narrative once again! But first, let’s get down to business with the image.

Rumor Engine: ‘On Ragged Wings’

So clearly we’ve got a wing that’s looking rather ragged. There’s been a few models from GW that have had similar wings. First, we’ve got the the legendary Bloodthirster Skarbrand:

Obviously this isn’t Skarbrand, as the wings aren’t “chaos” enough. Plus Skarbrand is relatively new. So it’s gotta be something else. It reminds me of a particular faction of Undead…

While the Zombie Dragon’s wings are a bit more intact, the exposed bone is certainly a step in the right direction. Could we be looking at the wings of some new type of undead-thing? I’m not ruling that out! Infact, there’s one more undead flying thing that I’m looking at as well:

The Morghasts wings are probably the closest to the Rumor Engine wings. And we can’t see the very bottom — which would be a dead give away. Are we going to get an updated/additional Morghast kit in the future? I’d be just fine with that!

Rumor Engine Meta-Narrative

The Rumor Engine’s Meta-Narrative also has a taste of finality to it. It seems that someone is resigned to allowing us to interact with the entity that is “the Rumor Engine” even if it leads to our oblivion.

“We are done. A quintillion warnings would not be enough to stop your meddling, your delving into the inky unknown, with only hope in your heart that you will surface with some scant succour.

Only obliteration can free you from your entanglement with the entity classified as the Rumour Engine. Obliviate, censure, redact, and nullify.

We will attempt to return to stability next cycle.”

So yeah. Looks like someone has thrown-up their hands and said “go ahead and find out!” Or something along those lines. I’m not sure where this meta-narrative is going but I guess we’ll find out next week!

So what do you think those ragged wings are? And Rumor Engine… are you feeling okay?
