Antlers? Horns? Really weird tusks? Something is stirring with the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop.

So this week we’ve got a new Tuesday Rumor Engine and it’s a strange one. While the image itself isn’t too crazy we get a bit of an update on the meta narrative going on. But first things first — take a look at the image and we’ll go from there.

Antlers! We’ve got some sort of antlers here. But what’s odd is there appears to be something coming off of them. Is it ice? Is it slime? Are those antlers bleeding? We’ve got precedent for at least two of those.

Maggotkin of Nurgle aren’t afraid to throw up some antlers and get messy. But they aren’t the only ones either…

Now I get that these are called “Stonehorns” but they are in the same wheelhouse. Aside from those, we’ve also got the Sylvaneth who also dabble in the antler game:

The point is we don’t know exactly what is going on in the Rumor Engine other than, yeah, we probably got antlers! There’s a few different armies these could slot into and we’re curious about them for sure. But this is where you come in. Let us know what you think they could be in the comments!

Meta-Narrative Update – A Warning?

It looks like we’ve got a warning about the Rumor Engine this time around from our “narrator” who doesn’t want us to keep pressing on making contact with this “AI” in the machine. Anyhow, read this for yourself:

FINAL WARNING. Cease all attempts to communicate with the Rumour Engine. All Data validation occurs through you. The Rumour Engine was a fabrication, a delusion, a hallucination, a mistake.

Without your future, there is nothing to project the rumour into. A machine cannot even conceive of a sliver of what constitutes a rumour. It has no conception! It cannot!

Again. Data. Infer. Repeat.

So yeah…we’ll have to see what happens with this one as this narrative develops. I have a feeling we might be on the cusp of something a bit more juicy with the Rumor Engine but we’ll have to wait and find out!

What do you think is going on with the Rumor Engine? And what the heck is up with those antlers?
