It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new tabletop role-playing games.

The Winds of Magic – Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Winds of Magic is a comprehensive guide to the practices and traditions taught by the eight Colleges of Magic. As well as providing background to the development of magic in the Empire it includes details of a multitude of magic practices, creatures, and places.

The Collector’s Edition has a faux leather cover embossed with the details of Paranoth’s Wheel and the symbols of the Colleges of Magic and a gold foil stamp that would make the finest print presses in Altdorf proud. The spine of the book is rounded with raised hubs. The book is reminiscent of the sort of dusty tomes one might hide in the attic from prowling witch hunters.

Dead End – CY_BORG

Henri, a connected security guard contacts the PCs. A legendary cyber killer has died and ended up in the morgue. Easy credits can be earned, one just needs to break in and strip off some of his cyberware.

Dead End is a morgue heist adventure for CY_BORG that goes horribly wrong. Eight page long PDF contains map of the morgue, descriptions of it’s tortured employees, locations and one very special deceased.

Character Portfolios for Old Gods of Appalachia

A setting rich in lore and detail evokes characters equally deep and vibrant. These 24-page character portfolios do the job of a character sheet, but also give you room for notes, sketches, and other details. Keep a campaign journal, make maps and location notes, keep track of NPCs, and flesh out your character’s backstory and relationships.

The portfolio is perfectly sized so you can record loads of important information while not using up too much space on the gaming table. It’s printed in full color on heavy matte paper that takes pencil and eraser easily. Even the cover is easy to write and draw on, making every player’s Character Portfolio unique from the outside in.

Detect or Die

Inspired by science fiction stories of memory and detection like Blade Runner (1982) and Disco Elysium (2019), Detect or Die places the players as the various inner voices of the Detective, collectively embodying the fractured psyche of an amnesiac protagonist attempting to solve the Case – whatever that entails.

One player takes on the role of the World, laying out the setting and mystery for the rest, using a bespoke variation of the Powered by the Apocalypse game engine influenced by Blades in the Dark and Bluebeard’s Bride. The rest play Personality Components, the fragments of the Detective’s Ego who combine investigative competencies with erratic coping mechanisms, trading off control and emotional stamina to make it through the Case to the ultimate revelations – about the World and about the Detective.

Teenage Mutant Dirtbags

Prepare for a wild ride as you step into the shoes of a teenage mutant humanoid animal like no other. But hey, forget about that ridiculous “Mutantimal” label; nobody actually uses that lame name. In this thrilling role-playing game, you’ll be raised by zealous warriors who believe you’re the only hope to save the world from its bizarre predicaments.

Get ready to embark on an epic adventure that blends mutant powers, rebellious attitudes, and a hefty dose of humor. Join forces with your mutantimal pals and navigate through a world where absurdity meets excitement. Your choices will shape the course of the game, with unexpected twists and turns at every corner.
