Dimension 20’s newest season is out on YouTube. With a “noir-ified” version of Kids on Bikes, a mystery inside a mind awaits you.

Dimension 20’s newest season is at hand. And right now you can catch the first episode (for free no less) on YouTube, playing in a world a bit like Inside Out. If Inside Out was secretly a Film Noir and had to deal with all sorts of mental quirks and not just emotions.

This season plays with a special “sanctioned hack” of the Kids on Bikes system. Which, thus far, seems to alter the core stats and have some special rules for planned actions. And stepping into this mindscape, this Mentopolis, if you will, is a cast of fun characters, including vertical video sensation Hank Green and Freddie Wong from those webisodes you used to watch back when the internet was a nice place.

Catch the first episode below!

Dimension 20: Mentopolis – Episode 1

Welcome to a world of intrigue and mystery – welcome to the mind of scientist Elias Hodge, which is populated by the bustling citizens of Mentopolis. A little bit Inside Out, a little bit film noir, and a whole lot of usual Dimension 20 shenanigans.

The set is incredible. A vibrant city lit up with firing neurons (aka these little blinky lights) as a murder strikes deep in the heart of Mentopolis. The cast of characters are a suite of stereotypical noir tropes mixed with mental traits. This includes the detective Hunch Curio—embodying curiosity itself—and characters like The Fix, a big bruiser who embodies the brain’s ability to hyperfixate on weird things.

Also present in the episode, a startling, some might say, disturbing number of facts about real life, and a whole lot of big brain puns.
