The Cerastus Knights are marching in to Pre-order this week from Games Workshop!

Cerastus Knight Castigator $200

Cerastus Knights are sophisticated and towering war-suits, far more agile than the smaller Questoris class. The Knight Castigator scythes down hordes of lesser foes that might otherwise overwhelm even a Knight through sheer numbers. Capable of obliterating infantry formations in a thunderous rain of mass-reactive explosions or carving apart light vehicles with ease, the Castigator is renowned for the stoic nature of its machine spirit, and often relied on to hold the line.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Cerastus Knight Castigator – a lofty war engine that devastates enemies at any distance. Even taller than its Questoris-class cousins, the Knight Castigator strides across the battlefield to deliver a roaring fusillade of shots from its arm-mounted bolt cannon, then moves in to slice through enemy armour with its crackling tempest warblade, which is as long as a Rhino armoured personnel carrier.

This detailed model is highly customisable, with joints in its ankles, knees, hips, head, arms, and waist allowing you to create your own dynamic pose. Its head and arms also offer glueless assembly options to adjust their position mid-game. The kit includes a variety of cosmetic options, including two variant designs for kneepads and greaves, and four hull-mounted icons – one each for Loyalist, Traitor, Mechanicum, and Questoris Household Knights. You can also build the Knight with an open hatch, revealing the seated pilot within.

This kit comprises 247 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 170x109mm Oval Base. It also includes an Age of Darkness Cerastus Knight Transfer Sheet, containing 517 optional markings and icons for the Knight Households of the Horus Heresy. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

Rules for using this miniature in your games of Warhammer 40,000 are available as a free download on the Warhammer Community website.

Cerastus Knight Acheron $200

Cerastus Knights are sophisticated and towering war-suits, faster and more agile than the smaller Questoris class. The Knight Acheron is a fearsome sight on the battlefield, a reaper of lives designed not only to destroy, but also to inspire terror. The presence of a Knight Acheron warns the foe to expect no mercy, for such grim weapons are only deployed for missions of extermination, to topple the works of the enemy and scour clean their lands with flame.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Cerastus Knight Acheron – a terrifying war engine that reduces all opposition to ashes. Even taller than its Questoris-class cousins, the Knight Acheron strides across the battlefield unleashing bursts of baleful fire from its arm-mounted flamestorm cannon and shredding tougher enemies with blows from its wicked reaper chainfist.

Vampire Blood Bowl Team: The Drakfang Thirsters $50

Noble Vampires often partake in games of Blood Bowl alongside their human Thralls to showcase their immortal superiority and indulge in a little bloodlust. Due to their wealthy status, these Nobles are adorned in the highest quality gear. Meanwhile, their Thralls are dishevelled and diminutive, wearing little more than basic equipment and blouses – and their gaunt and malnourished appearances may or may not have something to do with Thralls becoming a mid-match snack for the Vampires when they get thirsty.

Vampires who choose to play Blood Bowl among the underclasses are undeniably powerful, however, their teams can become undone when they occasionally give in to their Bloodlust and feed off their Thralls mid-game! But, if they can keep their hunger in check, their speed and strength make them a match for any other team out on the astrogranite.

This multipart kit allows you to assemble The Drakfang Thirsters, a Vampire team for use in games of Blood Bowl. The team comprises eight Thrall Linemen, two Vampire Runners, two Vampire Blitzers, and two Vampire Throwers. You’ll find alternate heads for each of your Vampire players, and an alternate arm for your Thrower, to help customise your team. In addition, there are two double-sided Blood Bowl coins, two turn and re-roll markers, four balls, and a transfer sheet.

Rules for using Vampire teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Spike! Journal 16, which is sold separately.

This kit comprises 96 plastic components, and is supplied with 14x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1x Vampire Team Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

Vampire Team – Double-sided Pitch and Dugouts Set $55

The castle ballrooms and grand halls used as Blood Bowl pitches by the Vampire dynasties are far removed from the traditional stadia that feature across the known world.

The hard stone floors can make for a rough landing but, occasionally, a soft luxurious carpet will break the fall of those on the receiving end of a bone-shuddering tackle, although these games are held inside, there are still plenty of chances for games to be disrupted.

One side shows the stunning castle floor with luxurious fabrics and numerous candles, while the flip side shows the pitch ablaze after the candles have burned the Vampires’ coffins and the chandelier has collapsed on the carpet – must have been a fang-tastic party!

You’ll also find a pair of matching double-sided dugouts to complete the theme. Each dugout features score, turn, and re-roll trackers, plus Reserves, Knocked-out, and Casualty boxes. Rules for using each side of the pitch in your games of Blood Bowl are included – these rules can also be found in Spike! Journal: Issue 16, which is sold separately.

Creaking open their coffin, this issue’s guest editor Leigh von Kristoff has all the juicy info for you to get your teeth into.

Already enticed by the title of Blood Bowl alone, Vampire Teams have long been involved with this brutal sport. In this issue of Spike! Journal, we have been invited into the ornate castles of Sylvania to discover more about these highly skilled, if often a little peckish, Blood Bowl players and find out just how they keep their appetites in check while on the pitch. With the contents of this magazine, you’ll be in thrall to the Vampires, and just dying to start your own team.
