Well, we’re assuming this one is a bird. It’s certainly got the talons for it. What else could it be? See the Rumor Engine and find out!

It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for another Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Not only are we getting a new image to mull over we’ve also got a new “log” update for the meta-narrative again. This Rumor Engine does have some strange things going on though…

Rumor Engine: A Bird Friends Is Back

So clearly we’ve got some sort of claw here. It could be a skeleton but it seems like it’s just a new bird creature. What’s interesting is the skull it’s perched on.

First up, it’s got three large fangs and what looks like a rather large nasal cavity. We can’t see any eye holes however. Maybe the talons are covering them up? It’s very odd. Furthermore the skull is also resting on what appears to be a rocky surface.

So what the heck are we looking at and what could this be a part of?

Honestly, it could be a LOT of things. Birds are pretty common across Warhammer. Obviously Tzeentch is big on birds so this could be a chaos thing.

Anytime we’re dealing with weird looking skulls I start to wonder if the bit in question could be Grand Alliance Death related. But again, is that skull a strange animal or some strange Xenos creature?

Perhaps it’s been exterminated by an Inquisitor and their pet bird is now perched on it? The point is this Rumor Engine is pretty vague so if you’ve got any ideas please drop us a line in the comments.

Meta-Narrative Update

As far as the current meta-narrative that’s going on with the Rumor Engine it appears our new Rumor Engine Acolyte/Keeper as figured out that the Rumor Engine is a “gateway between times far removed, sending and receiving mysterious images by unknown means.”

Yep. Glad they figured that part out. I’m wondering if the Rumor Engine is going to “come alive” again and spook our new Acolyte or not. Or maybe do something far worse…it wouldn’t be the first time that the ol’ Rumor Engine got a chaos infection.

What do you think the new Rumor Engine is teasing?
