Dungeons & Dragons crosses over with Minecraft once again. Only this time, D&D comes to Minecraft as Beholders and Dragons invade.

Minecraft and D&D crossed over earlier this year in a Monstrous Compendium that brought the Ender Dragon and Creepers into D&D. Now, the polarity of the crossover stream has been reversed, and D&D monsters are invading the world of Minecraft.

The Minecraft D&D DLC brings elements of the RPG to Minecraft, allowing players to become a Barbarian, Rogue, Wizard ,or Paladin as you head out on an adventure. Along the way you’ll find enemies straight from the pages of the Monster Manual, rendered in glorious, 64-bit blocky glory.

Minecraft – Dungeons & Dragons DLC

Whether you’ve been rolling D&D dice for decades, or you’re new to the idea of facing up to a Mind Flayer, this action-packed RPG has something for everyone! Just like in the tabletop version of Dungeons & Dragons, you’ll get to select your class and your playstyle, and make choices throughout the game that’ll compliment your biggest strengths. Prefer to smash doors rather than knock? Play as a bulky Barbarian, or sneak around as a Rogue and overcome obstacles with cunning (and perhaps a few poisoned darts!). For anyone that doesn’t love melee combat (me!), Wizards can cast ranged spells, so you can keep a safe distance and rain magic missiles down on your enemies. And for those who don’t want to choose between stepping up and hanging back, you can play as a mighty Paladin who can hit hard as well as heal.

Once you’ve chosen your character and selected your stats, you’re ready to heed the call to adventure! And not a moment too soon – did you hear that people in your village have gone missing? And what’s worse: no-one seems to know why. Looks like you have a mystery to solve, one that will no doubt lead you into a sticky situation or two…

The adventure will take characters through iconic locations from D&D’s Forgotten Realms, including Candlekeep and the Revel’s End prison, which features in both Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden and the D&D Movie. And along the way, there will be all new sorts of combat to play around with. Fireball. Swords. Smites. Heals. The whole nine yards.

The Minecraft D&D DLC features fully voiced NPCs, as well ass monsters like: Mimics, Beholders, Displacer Beasts, and of course, Dragons.

Now it’s time to build your own castle and defend it from Mimics!
