Star Wars: Ahsoka continues to delver and gets better and better, but it also leaves us with a lot of questions.

Ahsoka keeps on getting better and better. The most recent episodes have been some of the best Star Wars of the Disney Era. We’ve had shocks, awes, and some big payoffs. Now as we enter the later end of the series we still have a ton of questions. The show has a lot of mysteries left and has teased a ton of things, so here are five questions we still have about Ahsoka.

Is Baylan a Lightsider?

via Lucasfilm

Baylan Skoll is one of the best new characters in Star Wars: Ahsoka and Rey Stevenson will be sorely missed. He’s also a very mysterious character. Based on his appearance in the lead-up to the show a lot of people thought he was a Sith, but this was quickly proven untrue. Instead, he’s normally referred to as Fallen or Dark Jedi. Yet I have to wonder if this is accurate. Is Baylan a Dark Side user at all? Calling him this mainly seems to come from the color of his lightsaber and the fact he’s working with the Imperial Remnant.

However, I don’t think these things mean he follows the Dark Side. For instance, Huyang says that Baylan’s saber is the one he used while a General in the Jedi Order. It’s also orange not red–so this could well just be his Jedi saber. He also doesn’t use a lot of Dark Sider powers. Instead, he seems to rely on talking and following the will of the force a lot more. His goal also seems to be breaking the cycle of war and chaos in the galaxy. It’s possible he’s actually still devoted to the Light Sider.

What is Thrawn Transporting?

via Lucasfilm

In episode 6, Grand Admiral Thrawn‘s troopers are shown loading a large number of coffin-like objects onto his ship the Chimera. Loading these are important enough, and they are numerous enough, to delay Thrawn for three days. That’s a lot of cargo and we don’t know what it is at all. Is it more Nightsisters in status? Bodies to be re-animated by the Great Mothers? His art collection? Maybe it’s some rare material, like Beskar that is only found, or more commonly found in the other Galaxy?

What Are the Nightsisters Running From?

The Nightsister, or the three Great Mothers that we see at least, are pretty eager to leave their world. Thrawn too is eager to get back to the Star Wars galaxy, though willing to wait for three days. Baylan seems to believe it’s not just that they are excited to get their conquest on. He thinks they are running from something, a greater power. It’s this that he has come in search of. Is this power real? And what is it? this is just another big Ahsoka question we have.

What Has Ezra Been Up To?

After years in the universe and six episodes, we finally got to see Ezra Bridger in live-action. Towards the end of the episode, Sabine finds him at long last, hanging out by a lake with some crab people. But… what has he been up to for all the years he’s spent stuck here? It’s like it’s been more than just hiding out. He’s given the crab people Alliance Starbird medallions. Thrawn also seems to want him dead, which implies there is some ongoing conflict. Of course, this could just be Thrawn tying up loose ends. Still, it seems likely Ezra has kept on being a Rebel.

Are the Stormtroopers Alive?

If Star Wars: Ahsoka has left us with one big burning question it’s: “What is going on with Thrawn’s troopers?” These guys, called Nightroopers look super cool with their strapped together and patched armor. Yet there is something off about them. One theory is that they are all zombies, animated by Nightsister witchcraft. We’ve seen this happen before. Maybe though they are just troopers who have developed a cult-like devotion to Thrawn. We really want to find out.
