Games Workshop: Warhammer Day ‘Big Reveals’ Coming

Games Workshop is teasing folks with Warhammer Day reminders. What’s coming? Mark your calendar for October 14th, 2023 to find out!

That’s right, we’re just two weekends away from Warhammer Day 2023 — which also happens to be the 40th anniversary of Warhammer! There’s going to be some major reveals and GW is teasing what’s on the docket on this very special day.

“Things kick off at 2pm BST, and there’s a real welter of stuff to unveil: new books and miniatures for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, a new box and a new faction for Kill Team, and big news for Warhammer: The Old World.”

What’s Coming On Warhammer Day?

We’ve now got a rough idea of what to expect for Warhammer Day. So what will these new reveals be?

Warhammer 40,000

GW is saying that 40k will have new books and miniatures incoming. Based on the Roadmap we should expect Mechanicus and Necrons coming. I wonder what new minis we’ll see for these two factions!

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar

It appears that there’s a few new books on the way for Age of Sigmar as well. It should be exciting to see if the Flesh-eater Courts are going to get their long awaited Battletome and hopefully some new models, too!

Warhammer: The Old World

This one is perhaps the most intriguing for the batch. Not only did they say this in the text but also in the video: “Big news” is on the way for The Old World. Are we going to see a release date announcement? Perhaps the rules? How awesome would a free rules download be for this one, eh!?

Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team

Kill Team is getting both a new faction and also a new box, too! That’s good news for this skirmish game. I wonder just how “new” the faction will be as it could be an offshoot of an existing faction. But what if it’s something completely new? That would be pretty exciting news and fitting for a momentous day like Warhammer Day 2023!

There is a commemorative miniature you can order on the day as well. I hope that GW has some secret reveals planned, too. Afterall, Warhammer turns 40 and that’s quite a milestone! We’ll see what happens in two weeks.
