The Pathfinder 2E Remaster project isn’t just getting a rules update, it’s getting divinely inspired, with a new addition to the Pantheon.

In a special Lost Omens stream, Paizo unveiled a ton of new info about the upcoming Tian Xia World Guide which will take players into a realm inspired by Asian folklore and fantasy. From previews of the world, to character options, to the introduction of new deities, there’s a lot to explore.

You can watch the stream in its entirely, and scroll on to find some highlights about the forthcoming book. The land of Tian Xia awaits. And inside, new ancestries, monsters, and more.

Tian Xia World Guide Stream

In the stream, we get a look at the many nations and cultures of Tian Xia. Starting with Minata, a diverse nation of seafaring explorers protected by reefs said to be made from dead dragons. In addition to the many islands and their peoples, there will be a new, unannounced ancestry tying in to this area.

We also got a quick peek at Valash Raj, which is a massive jungle nation. In the Valashmai Jungle, the great forest is so deep and so rich, that massive kaiju still exist, and whole ecosystems of occupations and skills have grown up around them. From the humble kaiju caller, who is tasked with directing kaiju around settlements, to jungle hunters and rangers, there’s a lot to explore, if you don’t mind giant monsters.

And finally, Wanshou. The third region showcased in the stream is an agricultural district that was devastated and then, after massive flooding, was returned to prosperity by an elder kraken. Zhanagorr (seen in the background of the image) is hailed as Wanshou’s divine savior.

Of course, it isn’t just new regions in the book. We also get new deities. And on the stream, the devs showed off three new ones.

The three deities chosen for this stream were Lady Nanbyo, Yamatsumi, and Baekho. Lady Nanbyo is the goddess of plagues, disasters, and bad luck. Yamatsumi is the god of mountains, volcanoes, and winter. Baekho is the god of harmony, mending rifts, and the transition between seasons.

All of this awaits in 2024!
