Next week is a banner week for the Horus Heresy with new Legiones Astartes boxes and Sons of Horus upgrade sprues!

Things are heating up in the 31st Millennium. The opd Mk. III Marines and their arms and armor are rolling out in full force. With a new boxed set, new Marine options, and so much more, there’s plenty for anyone looking to fight on either side of the Horus Heresy.

Horus Heresy – Exemplary Battles and Sons of Horus

It all kicks off with Exemplary Battles of the Age of Darkness. Inside this 112-page tome, you’ll find the latest updates to Exemplary Battles, including reworked missions and unit profiles, as well as a whole new mission. But, besides ways to play, you’ll also find rules for the Emperor’s Children Legiones Hereticus force and Fulgrim Transfigured.

Of course, any of the Legiones Astartes will do for fighting these Exemplary Battles.

And once you have your updated rules, you’ll want something to play them with. That’s where this week’s preorder releases truly have you covered. Whether you’re looking to fill out an army list, or looking to start a whole new army, because who doesn’t need a 4th project to have in various stages of assembly scattered around the house/workshop, you’ll find the Legiones Astartes box you’re needing this week.

Starting with the Legiones Astartes Battle Group. This boxed set has 32 miniatures, including the new plastic Deredeo Dreadnought, a Proteus Land Raider, and the new Mk. III Armored Marines. The box also comesn with weapons and upgrades to kit them out as Sons of Horus or Iron Fists.

Or just load up on the Mk. III Marines with the Mk. III Tactical Squads box, wherein you’ll find additional build options for vexilla, vox, and Sergeants – including plasma pistols and power fists. There are 20 miniatures all in all, which can be fielded as a pair of 10-model Tactical Squads or a single 20-model Tactical Squad.

Or bring out the biggest of big guns with the new plastic Deredeo Dreadnought. This heavily armed Dreadnought can rain death down on armor or infantry alike thanks to its Anvilus autocannon battery or hellfire plasma cannonade.

And for those looking to field the most traitorous of legions, there’s the Sons of Horus upgrade sprue, with weapons and sigils that could bring about the downfall of the Imperium of Man.

Finally, in the 41st Millennium, is the Warhammer Day mini for this year, a variant Einhyr Champion!

This commemorative miniature is available to order until 8am GMT on Monday the 6th of November 2023 and everyone ordering within this window will be guaranteed to receive a copy.

All this, next week!
