Games Workshop has revealed a new vampire diplomat.  Sekhar, Fang of Nulahmia is Neferata’s new chief diplomat and she’s on a mission!

The Dawnbringers Crusade continues despite any setbacks or roadblocks. Marching ever onward through the Mortal Realms the trail blazing and fighting has been tough. But their enemies aren’t rolling over either and the Undead are taking notice.

“In Ghyran, the expedition has reached a treacherous mountain range known as the Neck, deep within the territory of New Summercourt. As if delusional ghouls weren’t bad enough, Ushoran’s cannibal court is currently playing host to a delegation of haughty vampiric diplomats, under the watchful gaze of Sekhar, Fang of Nulahmia.”

That’s right, Neferata’s sent a representative to the New Summercourt. And she’s packing more than just fangs…

Sekhar, Fang of Nulahmia

“Sekhar and her attendants have wormed their way into Ushoran’s court, banking on his respect for nobility, chivalry, and the blood ties between Mortarchs. From here, they syphon the Summerking’s infected blood, sending shipments of “fine wines” out into Sigmarite cities across the Mortal Realms. Sekhar has kept these wheels turning with syrupy speech and careful diversions, but the arrival of the Twin-Tailed Crusade now threatens to throw her meticulous schemes off-balance.”

As a new vampire character with the title of “Fang of Nulahmia” I think we were all expecting her to have actual fangs. And she does. But I was not expecting to see a rather large snake as well. Her armor and lithe proportions are also just a tad unsettling. I think that adds to the supernatural element of this miniature.

As from a good look at the miniature we also get a bit about Sekar’s rules as well. As befitting a vampire she is fast, deadly, and can sling magic as well. And that snake she’s with? Well, turns out that her familiar isn’t just a big snake:

“Ouboroth was once a mighty god-serpent, known amongst the underworlds as the Time-Swallower. Sekhar infiltrated and slowly undermined his priesthood, until Nagash could destroy his scaled rival.”

All that remained of the former god was the snake avatar. And Nagash gave it to Sekhar a gift. Now they fight on the battlefield as one:

While this is a handy defensive ability she can also sacrifice it for a devastating attack. Once per game you can unleash The Time-Swallower’s Maw and cause mortal wounds to enemy units within 6″.

Fangs of the Blood Queen – Army of Renown Box

To get your hands on this model keep an eye out for the upcoming Fangs of the Blood Queen boxed set. This new army of renown has Sekhar, 3x Fell Bats, and 10x Dire Wolves.

When Death starts to stir you know trouble is brewing.
