Games Workshop has revealed two new Legion Astartes Apothecaries. They are here to heal and get your Astartes back into the Horus Heresy.

Space Marines are genetically modified superhumans. They have increased…well, pretty much everything! That said they aren’t invulnerable. Especially when they have to go up against their own (former) Battle Brothers. Injuries happen and that’s where the Apothecaries come in to save the day (or at least their geneseed).

“These Apothecaries are lightly armed, each with a chainsword and their signature narthecium, though fighting is far from their most important duty. By attaching to another unit, they grant the valuable Feel No Pain (5+) skill to their comrades, keeping your legionaries fighting fit in the face of grievous injuries.”

New Astartes Apothecaries

These two new Apothecaries come in two different MKs of Power Armour. One is wearing the “beakie” MK VI Corus plate while the other is wearing the heavily studded MK V Heresy version.

These are the perfect addition to any Horus Heresy fan’s collection. As you can see from their Narthecium rule above they are also quite handy to have on the tabletop, too. It’s also worth noting that you can take a whopping EIGHT Apothecaries as a single Elites choice. That’s quite a few units that can be covered by that Feel No Pain (+5) special rule.

Even if they don’t make it, they might be reborn…

That Feel No Pain (+5) might not seem like much. But when your entire army has it and you’re basically ignoring a third of all wounds it adds up.

“This Apothecarion Detachment pack contains both Apothecaries, who are both cast in Forge World resin, for use in any Legiones Astartes army. Look out for more details of their upcoming release next month.”

These should be landing in January to aid your Space Marine Legions!
