Star Wars: Shatterpoint – Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker Rules Preview
Atomic Mass Games has brought Luke Skywalker to the tabletop in Shatterpoint and we’ve got a closer look at his rules.
Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker is on the way to Shatterpoint and I’m super excited. He needs no introduction so let’s just dive right into his cards and rules.
Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker In Star Wars: Shatterpoint
This version of Luke is when he’s still coming into his power. He’s not quite a Jedi Master, but he’s no Padwan either. He’s had two teachers up to this point with Obi-Wan and Yoda. This has an impact on his skills and fighting style. This is Return of the Jedi Luke — and he’s s force to be reckoned with!
His first ability is fittingly called Return of the Jedi. This grants him jump and refresh a Force token. His next ability is You Can Either Profit By This, or Be Destroyed which is a potent Active ability. When Luke gets in range of a contested Active objective, Enemy characters can opt to leave it thus giving up the Objective …or they can stick around and take a 5 dice melee attack.
As you can see from his two stances, you probably don’t want to soak that attack. But hey, you do you. He’s also got Deflect which is handy vs ranged attacks. As for melee defense, he’s got the ability I Will Not Fight You. This allows him to heal and jump away from melee provided there was at least one failure roll. And finally he has I Am A Jedi, Like My Father Before Me. Depending on where his Order Card is in the deck he’s either immune to Exposed or Pinned. That’s a very hand option for Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.
I’m personally super pumped about this release. I can’t wait to get my hands on this miniature and put him on the tabletop. The Fearless and Inventive Squad Pack is currently up for pre-order and will be released January 26, 2024.
