Dungeon Crawl Classics, the old-school fantasy dungeon-crawling RPG from Goodman Games, may soon be coming to Roll20.

If you’ve seen the classic D&D adventures, like the Temple of Elemental Evil, reborn for 5th Edition, you’re familiar with the work of Goodman Games. Goodman Games also makes its own RPG, Dungeon Crawl Classics, an old-school dungeon crawler that has quite the scene going.

This is a game where you start at 0th level, and if you’re lucky, by the time you get through one or two characters, you’ll be ready to step up to level one or higher. The mechanics are familiar but include a number of embellishments that make the “generic fantasy” much more fun. Luck rolls, mighty deeds for Warriors and Dwarves. And so on.

And now, Goodman Games wants to bring a fully integrated version of DCC to Roll20, and will soon be launching a crowdfunding campaign to do exactly that. All the bells, whistles, and ten-foot poles you hope to see should be there.

Dungeon Crawl Classics Goes Virtual – Roll20 Integration In The Works

Announced today via the Goodman Games blog, Dungeon Crawl Classics will be coming to Roll20 “by popular demand.”

“Coming to a virtual table top near you!

By popular demand, Dungeon Crawl Classics is coming to Roll20! We’re crowdfunding a complete DCC integration, with all the mechanics that make DCC so much fun. Spell checks, mighty deeds, Luck, spellburn, deity disapproval, mercurial magic, and everything else you love will be fully integrated into game play.

This project also converts iconic adventures to Roll20, creating a campaign path from level 0 to 3. Plus stretch goals allow for adding even more adventures, token art, and more!

If you’d like to see DCC on Roll20, support this project when it launches in early February. Follow the project now on BackerKit, get notified of updates, and be the first to pledge!”

This will create a suite of Roll20 tools for running your own DCC campaign right there in-house. Why Crowdfund? Well, these projects take time and effort. Especially for all the token art and adventures that DCC hopes to bring.

Hence, the Backerkit campaign is coming in early February. You can find out more by following the campaign ahead of time. In the meantime, check out Dungeon Crawl Classic’s quickstart rules right here.

It is some of the most fun you’ll have losing some of your favorite characters.
