Games Workshop has really outdone themselves with the Old World Map. And now you can see it ALL.

The Old World has a new website up and it’s got a lot of info to glean. But one feature jumped out at us as it’s most impressive. The Old World Map is there and it’s free for you to peruse.

That’s just a zoomed out image and it’s not even ALL of the map. This thing is giant — and you can zoom in TOO! If you’re looking for the map just scroll down on The Old World website. Once you find the map you can take an even closer look:

We’ve seen clips and images over the years as GW has been teasing/working on this map. But it’s out now in its entirety and it’s absolutely worth a look.

Personally, I really love looking at these fictional maps. They tell wonderful stories and this one is not only extremely impressive with the art, but also with the attention to detail! The fact you can zoom in fairly close on these areas really helps give a sense of scale and points out who the major players are in the area.

If you were wondering who/where the Border Princes are, well, here ya go:

This map is so impressive it makes me want to play in this world even more. I want to explore these areas and learn about the different rulers and cities. I want to cross the badlands and go Tomb Raiding in the lands of Khemri!

Maybe it’s just the RPG player in me but seeing the map of the Old World this fleshed out and explorable just scratches an itch. What’s really interesting to me are all the OPEN spaces they have added, too. Like the Plain of Zharr or that massive plateau north of the plain of bones:

I’m sure there will be tales to be told in all of the Old World. But this map let’s your imagination run wild. I hope that GW releases a full, hi-rez downloadable image of it someday. But for now, visit their website and enjoy poking around the Old World.

Remember when it started here…we’ve come a LONG way.
