Spearhead: Cities of Sigmar

Spearhead: Cities of Sigmar contains 17 miniatures led by a Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal. Five Freeguild Cavaliers provide a fast-moving hammer to smash the opposition against the anvil of 10 Freeguild Steelhelms, and an Ironweld Great Cannon unleashing roaring blasts.

Most of these miniatures were it the Cities of Sigmar Army box. That said, if you missed that box, this is going to be a great starter option. Additionally, if you’re looking to expand an existing army more Freeguild are likely to be useful. You can’t really go wrong with this one.

“Spearhead: Flesh-eater Courts comprises 15 miniatures, including an Abhorrant Archregent and his loyal complement of 10 Cryptguard. Three Morbheg Knights bound into combat alongside a horrifying Varghulf Courtier, their frenzied assault a grim parody of a rousing charge.”

Another great batch of miniatures to snag in this box if you want to expand an existing army. And, again, if you wanted to start a Flesh-eater Courts army you can do that with this set perfectly.

I like both of these sets due to the fact that they come with good core units that each army can use as well as a good leader option, too. It’s almost like GW is creating these boxes to be self-sufficient boxes that could be pitted against each other in a new format or something…

What? Combat Patrol? What’s that 40k thing? A format designed for these Combat Patrols to play against each other with set lists and rules? Gee, I wonder if that could work in AoS, too…

These new Spearhead boxes are coming soon from Games Workshop.
